Social Networking is such a recent phenomenon that even the kids born recently are already old. I don’t even know what that meant. Anyway, I was looking for some funny videos to show to my parents about Social Media and stumbled upon a Vine parody where the creator was supposedly trying to shoot a Vine commercial for Vine. Yes that means 6 seconds and a lot of frustration. Check this out:

#7 Vine Tries to Make a Commercial for Vine in Vine

Well we didn’t make the rules so we will just go with the flow. After watching the Vine video I went around looking for more videos that made fun of other Social Networks and look what I found. This parody about Pinterest is number 6 on the list.

#6 Pintervention

Points for breaking the 4th wall there but surprisingly parodies about Pinterest seem to not cross the boundaries of visually looking good and be any more meaningful. Lets hit some music there with good visuals. This College Humour music video about Instagram should make sense if you are obsessed with documenting ‘peach pies’. Nickelback gets a rap too!

#5 Look at this Instagram

Its time to get seriously humorous now. Well who can be accused to intentionally dumbing down the Internet better than Twitter? Here’s a gem of a parody from Indy Mogul. Surely it does the job of trashing the whole idea of making highly glamorised movie about Social Networking.

#4 Twitter Movie Trailer: Rated Awesome

The Vesuvius just erupted and things are going to burn. Google+ came out like an unwanted child but slowly took its seat as a Social Media biggie. Here’s a music video that exactly details that transition with a soundtrack that reminds Queen’s ‘Another one bites the dust’.

#3 The Google+ Song

Its all good until you really don’t turn into a ‘Fascist Pig’ and kick me out of your circles for showing you this! Well too much for learning and preaching. The next parody is not directly poking fun at Linkedin but we like it and we couldn’t find anything else that fits here. Its really classy.

#2 Some recruiter I used to know

Can adding someone on Linkedin really culminate into stalking? Sometimes I just don’t understand what Ultra Geeks do!!! However if there was an Oscar for parody videos about Social Networking then this is the one that should win

#1 The Man Without a Facebook

Dramatic closing line –  “The best study of human behaviour is in observing them mock something that they can’t live without.”
